Support the Society

The Society of the Sacred Heart continues its mission each day:

Revealing God’s Love in the Heart of the World.

We do this through fidelity to relationships – associates, alumnae/I, colleagues in mission, benefactors and friends – so that the love of Christ may be more widely and deeply known.

We are deeply committed to prayer and contemplation as we serve in the Network of Sacred Heart Schools, in colleges, universities and other educational settings, in spiritual ministry centers, in justice and peace initiatives and caring for our elderly sisters.

Provincial announcement on the Mission Advancement Office

Dear Family of the Sacred Heart,

Fifteen years ago, under the direction of then provincial Sister Kathleen Hughes and her provincial team, another journey began with the call to Sister Shirley Miller to open our yet to be formed mission advancement office. Shirley, in her 35 years of experience in Sacred Heart schools, in teaching, administration and fundraising, has demonstrated over these many years her skill as an administrator, spokesperson and fundraiser.

Elder Care General Fund

Our elders continue to live vibrant community lives of prayer and service, with daily liturgy, frequent contacts with friends and families and young people.

Ongoing professional care of elderly Religious of the Sacred Heart takes place at Oakwood in Atherton, CA; Abba House, Avila Lodge and Teresian House in Albany, NY; and Caritas Residence in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Funds are used to provide care for our sisters and for maintenance of facilities as needed.
