Next Provincial Named

A familiar face will return to the office of provincial for the United States Province of the Society of the Sacred Heart next summer. Barbara Dawson, RSCJ, has accepted the appointment to serve as the next provincial of the U.S. Province. As provincial, Sister Dawson will be responsible for the communities and ministries of the Religious of the Sacred Heart in the United States.

Philippine Celebrated at Fundraiser for Old St. Ferdinand's Shrine

On Sunday evening, January 29, 270 people gathered at Kemoll’s Restaurant in St. Louis to raise funds to support the work of the Friends of Old St. Ferdinand, the nonprofit organization that has maintained the Old St. Ferdinand Shrine in Florissant, Missouri for more than 40 years. His Eminence Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke, former archbishop of St. Louis, was the keynote speaker at the dinner.

Sacred Heart Alumna Receives Ovation at U.N. Conference

Abigail Borah, a 2009 graduate of Stuart Country Day School of the Sacred Heart, Princeton, New Jersey, interrupted the UN Climate Change Conference in Durban, South Africa last week with an impassioned call for the United States to agree to the climate change treaty.
