Schools of the Sacred Heart, Grand Coteau

Founded in 1821, the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau was the second Sacred Heart School in the United States. This year, they celebrate their 190th anniversary.

Grand Coteau is the Sacred Heart School in longest continuous service, having remained open through hurricanes, depressions and even the Civil War. In 2006, the Schools of the Sacred Heart opened Berchmans Academy to offer boys of the area a comparable education.
