"In order to witness to the Reign of God, we need to build community."
~ Patricia García de Quevedo, former Superior General, Society of the Sacred Heart

The word community has many meanings for members of the Sacred Heart Family. There is our religious community - the Society of the Sacred Heart. Members of the province live in community with other RSCJ, and occasionally others who are not members of the Society. We also speak of our parishes, neighborhoods, towns and broader society as our community. Whatever the immediate sense of the word, have you ever noticed it's almost always used in a positve way? Community - communion - bringing people together - is at the core of our charism. This issue of Heart explores what community means for us.

We'd love to hear what community means to you and invite you to share this issue of Heart magazine with your social networks.
