Sister Busch and Sister Emma Fernandez, both of St. Charles, Missouri, did the delicate cross-stitch embroidery on ribbons woven into the shawl. The ribbons list every U.S. foundation, beginning with St. Charles in 1818.

Sacred Heart Associates Dawn Stringfield (left) and Laura Haroian, were among several associates attending the ceremony.
