Manhattanville confers honorary degrees on two RSCJ |

Eileen O’Gorman, rscj and Ruth Dowd, rscj, will receive honorary Doctor
of Humane Letters degrees at the Manhattanville College commencement
May 13, 2004.
Sister O’Gorman taught English at the
college in Purchase, New York, from 1946 to 1982. Sister Dowd most
recently served as dean of special programs.
Last year, the
two Religious of the Sacred Heart were honored by the college with the
establishment of a writing center in their name. The Dowd/O’Gorman
Writing Center will serve as a home for literary events and special
programs.
