I attended Eden Hall from 1965 until 1969. I happened to stumble on this website and know nothing about it. I saw Mother Collins name and would love to be able to email her. Is Mother Higgins there also?
Thanks for your help.

ALBANY - Saying they hope to more fully embrace an interfaith mission, leaders of the Doane Stuart School asid they are ending their three-decade affiliation with the Catholic Society of the Sacred Heart, an order of nuns.

In a letter to students, school president John Robinson wrote that the school's Board of Trustees voted to sever the relationship at a meeting last week.

"We do not believe that we are a school that can remain at once a member in good standing of the Society of the Sacred Heart and a school that can be the place of inclusiveness that we have become," Robinson wrote.

Doane Stuart's decision was granted by the society "with sadness," according to a news release. Doane Stuart was formed in 1975 as an ecumenical Christian school with the merger of the St. Agnes School, a private Episcopal school, and the Catholic Kenwood Academy.

As we approach this critical election, I cannot help but recall with gratitude the "Symposium on Courage" at Barat College on the Saturday following the November, 1968, general election.
I was a young Dominican friar -- left young, never ordained -- and I can say that the symposium greatly affected me, and helped make me become who I am today.
As the nation seems to have become more involved than in decades, in choosing its next leaders, I shall always be thankful for that 1968 event, wishing the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Jesus continued courage and success in their ministry, not only to young girls and women, but in their witness to this world.

Does anyone know where I can locate Sr. Mary Roberts? She was at Holy Spirit School in Los Angeles in '69 - '73 and went to Jefferson Parish in New Orleans she was my true mentor in grade school.

I would like any information on how to contact Oakwood in hopes of getting some information on a resident there named Sr Virginia Barsch. I am a former student of Dr. Barsch from her teaching days at Moorhead State Univ. in MN. Her enthusiasm for life has inspired me for 29 years now and I have always been saddened I lost track of her. I have searched for her on the internet for years and just today came across the Fall 2006 newsletter EspritDeCoeur that mentions her as being a part of the Oakwood community. I would really like to know how she is doing. Could someone please contact me with any news or her? My phone number is 208-610-1304. Address is 84 North Road, Lamoine, ME 04605 Thank you very much for any help you could give me. I really, really would like to contact her once again and thank her for all she did for me. She was not only my mentor but a friend and I miss her! Thank you. Debra
