Established in 1992 to support An Act of Hope: Province Priorities for
Strategic Planning, this Fund provides small planning grants and larger
project grants for a limited number of initiatives which come from
members of the Province and their collaborators and which are designed
to effect institutional and systemic change, promote human development,
and develop grass-roots leaders.

This Fund was established by the Province to support ministries and
projects in which RSCJ work or with which they are connected. Projects
to be eligible for funding should promote self-determination for
economically deprived persons, especially women and children; aim
directly at changing public policy, social attitudes, economic
structures and institutions that perpetuate poverty and injustice; or
provide education designed to effect in those educated, an active
social responsibility toward the promotion of self-determination for
the economically deprived.

We invite all to enter more deeply into the calls of Chapter 2008
during Advent. In support of this invitation, an Advent Reflection
will be posted on the RSCJ website for each week of Advent. These
reflections will be prepared by members of the province who have been
asked to offer their own insights into Advent and the calls of the
Chapter 2008.
