Thank you Kit. To give Sister Maryellen some context...she was my mentor during my teacher certification, although she put me directly into my own classroom. Sister later visted my then husband and I in Denver,Colorado. When I gave birth to my daighter in Detroit, now sixteen years ago, Sister was ecstatic and wanted to know every detail of my motherhood. I would like to re-connect.

My Grandaunt was Mother Catherine Brennan from Mayo, Ireland who was at the Convent of the Sacred Heart on 9th St., Fifth Ave in NYC till her death in the late 1940's. Can we find out where she is buried and if a living nun remembers her?

Admins Comment: I have responded to Michael and suggested he try the archives.

I am interested to read about the late Sister Carolyn Curtin. My family originate from Cork so maybe she is a distant cousin.
Admins Comment: Perhaps the best way to get this information is from archives@rscj.org
I suppose the website address and mailing address might be of some use to others.
