Supporting the Mission PDF Print E-mail
Written by RSCJ.org Admin

The Religious of the Sacred Heart are committed to discover, live and announce God's love through the service of education for transformation, in diverse ministries, particularly addressing the needs of children, young people, women and those in society who are marginalized. (From our mission statement)

Your generous support has immediate and long term impact on:

  • The care of our 87 elderly sisters
  • The educational and spiritual mission of the Society
  • Vocation ministry and the formation of young religious
  • The ability to launch new initiatives in response to the call of the Church and the needs of the world.

Our sisters deeply appreciate your prayers as we remain in mission for life.

Imagine being able to write and speak about people and things you cherish and then having others eager to listen and learn. That’s my present ministry -- making Madeleine Sophie’s spiritual wisdom and educational vision more broadly available -- and I love it.

Nourishing the Spirit

For those who are aware of the life and work of Rose Philippine Duchesne, the two passions of her life are evident: her meeting in 1804 and lifelong friendship with Madeleine Sophie Barat, Foundress of the Society of the Sacred Heart; and her early calling to serve the Native Americans in the fledgling country across the Atlantic from her native France.
